| Point To Be Aware Of For Full-length Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorber EDFC. |
![]() When adjusting the ride height on a vehicle equipped with a full-length ride height adjustable shock absorber such as the TYPE FLEX, then it is possible to loosen the bracket lock and then turn the shell case to adjust the ride height. (Photo 1) If you are not using EDFC then there will no problem, but if you are, then it is necessary to remove the motor coupler (Photo 2) before adjusting the ride height.
If you forget to remove the coupler before adjusting the ride height (for full-length ride height adjustable systems), the following problem may occur.
The EDFC motor is installed at the tip of the shock absorber so it can turn the shell case along with the motor. The EDFC motor’s wiring may get caught up in the tip of the shock absorber (Photo 3) and result in cutting the wiring, when adjusting the ride height. For this reason please remove the EDFC motor coupler before adjusting the ride height on a full-length ride height adjustable shock absorber.
