Detached Fr strut drive shaft for HONDAS
The front (strut) drive shaft for HONDA’S such as the STREAM (RN3), INTEGRA (DC5), CIVIC(EP3), FIT (GD1), STEPWAGON (RF3) etc, are quiet short in length. When you remove the strut and you leave the knuckle as it is, the drive shaft may become detached from the transmission. If it becomes detached from the drive shaft, the process to put it back is very troublesome. Please refer to the diagram below as a reference.

1. Remove the tire, place the ridget rack (C) onto the knuckle.
2. When releasing the strut and the knuckle (B), remove while keeping the same knuckle height as if the strut was still in place.
*If you release the stabilizer link, then the procedure will become easier to perform.
*Please make sure the knuckle does not come off the ridget rack, when removing the strut.
3. If you try to remove the strut, and lower the knuckle, then the drive shaft (D) will become detached from the transmission. (If this happens, the procedure to put the drive shaft back is very trouble some)
